Welcome to what has evolved into “One Horse Photography”. Two passions that I have carried through out my life are taking pictures and horses. As a child growing up in rural Indiana, I can remember asking my mother to take pictures of me and my horse. What I usually ended up with was a grainy “110” photo of half of my torso, the top part of the horses head and a whole lot of sky. Mom tried, but I was always left unfulfilled and wanting something better.
I bought my first 35mm camera in Jr. High school, when most of the other kids didn’t know what 35mm was. Polaroid was the big thing in the 70’s. I thought I’d made the big time in the early 90’s when I upgraded to an “automatic” 35mm. I resisted the urge to go digital until the spring of 2006, and here I am… hooked all over again. Now that I’m all grown up, I’m fortunate to have a day job as a Mounted Police Officer with the Savannah/Chatham Metropolitan Police Department in Savannah, Georgia. Can you see a little pattern here?..We all have dreams, and this is one of mine. If you don't act on your dreams and ideas, then you'll always wonder about the “what if’s” in life. So here I am, just hanging on to the horse's tail, so to speak and waiting to see where this all takes me.

people will forget what you did,
but people will never forget how you made them feel"
